Q. Do I need a credit card to make a hotel room reservation?
A credit card is required at the time you make a reservation to book your room. Your card will not be charged until your visit. Unless you book a pre-paid reservation.
Q. What is the reservations cancelation policy? Is there an early departure fee?
Room reservations may be canceled up to 48 hours prior to arrival (unless otherwise stated on special packages). Our early departure fee is the first night room charge plus tax.
Q. What are the taxes for a hotel stay?
All hotel bookings are subject to taxes including the Albuquerque Lodger's Tax of 5% and the NM Gross Receipts Tax of 8.125%. Please note: tax rates are subject to change.

A resort fee of $30 is added to the daily room rate. This resort fee includes WiFi, valet parking, daily newspaper, access to our fitness center, access to Hotel Albuquerque's outdoor pool and hot tub, in-room bottled water and snacks replenished daily.

We are happy to welcome your traveling canine companions to Hotel Chaco. Our pet fee is $50.00 per pet per night, guests cannot leave pets unattended. Dog weight limit is 60 lbs.

Hotel Chaco guests are able to access Hotel Albuquerque's 25-meter outdoor pool open seasonally and outdoor hot tub open year round. Access to the pool is included with the daily resort fee.

Q. How far is the hotel from the airport?
The hotel is 8 miles (about 10 minutes) from the Albuquerque International Airport (Sunport). Take I-25 North and I-40 West to Rio Grande Boulevard, and head south. We are on the east side of Rio Grande Boulevard.
Q. What public transportation options are available in the city?
is the city's public transportation system. The New Mexico Rail Runner Express
is a commuter train to Santa Fe and other cities north (and south) of Albuquerque. There are several taxi services in Albuquerque. Ride sharing through UBER
is available in Albuquerque.
Q. What is the weather like?
Albuquerque is located in the high desert. It is not as hot as Arizona, nor as humid as Texas. Days are warm and dry, followed by cool desert nights. We get very little rain and, when it does rain, it often clears up quickly. July is the warmest month, January is the coolest, and August is -- traditionally -- the wettest month of the year.
Q. What should I wear when visiting?
In general, during the summer months, dress for comfort for the activities you are planning and bring a light sweater or jacket for the evenings. It can get cool even in the summer months. Winters run colder, so be sure to bring something warm to wear. If you are planning on going to the mountains, know that temperatures drop considerably at the higher altitudes.

Our low humidity and high altitude means you'll need to stay hydrated when visiting. We recommend you bring along sunscreen, lotion and lip balm. Don't forget to drink lots of water to stay hydrated throughout your visit.

We're located in the heart of Old Town within walking distance of seven museums, botanical gardens, the aquarium and 100+ shops and galleries. There is no better location to stay at when visiting Albuquerque.

Our adjacent sister property, Hotel Albuquerque has a variety of meeting spaces to accommodate functions of various sizes depending on the set of the room. We can accommodate weddings of up to 1,000 people or meetings that are 1,500 attendees or larger.
